Full Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival
Arrival in Tanzania, picked up by your driver and transported to a hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2 - Arusha National Park
The day begins with pre-breakfast birding in the Lodge grounds, where we see fire finches, various sunbirds, Bulbuls, and Olive Thrush. Breakfast and head for Arusha National Park with our packed Lunches, tour the many crater lakes catching up with the Macoa ducks, Egyptian Geese, Hotentot teal, Comb duck and many rare waders.
The jungle may reward you with trogons and orange-bellied parrots. After eating our packed lunches, we drive out of the park to go on a walking safari north of Arusha, visiting Arusha's only reliable site of White Fronted Bee Eaters, and then go searching for the uncommon Spikeh eeled Lark. The evening saw us back to our Lodge in Arusha for Dinner.

DAY 3: Tarangire National Park
We start the day with an early breakfast and drive to Tarangire with our pack. The highlights of the day will be searching for Tanzanian endemics such as the Rufous Tailed Weaver, Yellow Collard Lovebird, and Ashy Stirling. Dinner and stay at the resort or camp.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park.
A full day was spent visiting the Tarangire Plains. In addition to the numerous birds seen, Tarangire has the highest concentration of elephants per square kilometre in East Africa. We will spend the full day game driving in the park before returning to our lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5 & 6: Lake Natron
This is a breeding place for East African Lesser Flamingos. After breakfast at the lodge/camp, drive to Lake Natron, passing by the active volcanic mountain Oldoinyo Lengai, where you will have lunch and check in. In the afternoon, you relax by the lake for a full day.

DAY 7 - Serengeti National Park
Breakfast at your camp/lodge, followed by a drive to Serengeti National Park on the northern side of Serengeti, where you overnight.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park
A full day of bird watching in the northern Serengeti.

Day 9: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, with our lunches packed, we drive to the western Serengeti, arriving in the sunset. As we drive to the Lodge, we'll see a variety of sand grouse and guinea fowl. Dinner and stay at the lodge/camp.

Day 10: Serengeti National Park.
A full day of bird watching in the Serengeti National Park. Later, you drive to the lodge/camp for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Serengeti National Park
Pre-breakfast bird walks in the Serengeti, looking for Tanzanian endemics such as Fischer's Lovebird and Grey-breasted Spurfowl. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, we will spend the rest of the day birding and game viewing; while we travel, we should see Usambiro barbets and Grey-capped social weavers. Returning in the evening to your Tented Camp or Lodge

Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, we drive out of the Serengeti into the Ngorongoro crater, where we will see the unique Rufous-tailed weaver. If the opportunity arises, the golden-winged Sunbird, as well as big flocks of both lesser and greater Flamingos on the Soda Lake, and a variety of Raptors such as Batleurs, Martial Eagles, Yellow-billed Kites, Augur Buzards, and Black-winged Kites, should be seen soaring above the skies. Many huge mammals will also be added to our list. Dinner and overnight in a lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Lake Eyasi
Famous for the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, the last remaining bushmen in the area. You get up early to hunt with the Hadzabe bushmen, then return to camp/lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you perform nature bird-watching in the vicinity, including wandering near Lake Eyasi, and in the afternoon, you drive to Lake Manyara for the night.

DAY 14 - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, we drive out of the Serengeti into the Ngorongoro crater, where we will see the unique Rufous-tailed weaver. DAY 15: Arusha
Drive back to Arusha to the airport.
