Full Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara

Your guide will pick you up from Arusha, welcome you, and inform you on the basics of your 6-day safari in Tanzania. After the briefing, you'll be taken to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake the Park provides a compact game watching circuit, with Lake Manyara accounting for two-thirds of the park's size. The Great Rift Valley provides a magnificent backdrop. Enjoy a game drive with the potential to see the famous tree climbing lions. Lunch will be taken in the wilderness. You will also go on a nature walk later in the evening to take in the landscape and surrounds of the national park. You will move to your lodge after your nature walk for dinner and overnight at Twiga Lodge.

Day 2: Proceed to Serengeti National Park

You will enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge before your transfer to Serengeti National Park. On your en route game drive over the broad savannah plains, you will witness a variety of wildlife species. After checking in, you will have lunch at your lodge in the Serengeti National Park. After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive to look for wildlife species in the savannah plains, such as the big five (elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos), as well as to enjoy the stunning landscape, such as the kopjes where lions may be seen watching their prey. You will go to your lodge for dinner and spend the night at one of the Osinon camps or lodges.

Day 3: Full-day Serengeti

During your safari, you will have breakfast at your resort in Serengeti National Park and then go game viewing in the morning. Lunch will be served at your lodge following your morning wildlife drive. Later in the evening, you will go on another game drive to witness animals such as the big five: lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, and elephants. Other wildlife and bird species that you may encounter include wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes, zebras, kudus, hippos, and buffalos, among others. Following your evening game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and spend the night at one of the Osinon camps or lodges.

Day 4: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater

Following breakfast at the lodge, you will travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There is also an alternative stopover to Olduvai Gorge, which has a history and is where anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of early humans. You will eat lunch before descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater to see incredible species and enjoy the stunning surroundings. You will see a range of wildlife species, including wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and enormous African elephants, as well as predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. You will also see Lake Magadi, a big but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern portion and one of the crater's principal characteristics. You will view a big number of flamingos, hippos, and other bird species during your tour to the lake. You'll head to Karatu Tented Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: From Ngorongoro to Tarangire

You will have a delicious breakfast at the lodge before heading to Tarangire National Park, with a stopover at Karatu for an encounter with the Maasai tribe. You'll encounter local arts and crafts, such beaded jewelry. You will go to Tarangire National Park, where you will enjoy your packed lunch on a picnic. Tarangire National Park is one of Tanzania's largest parks, including large populations of elephants. Following that, you will go on a game drive where you will witness a variety of wildlife species including elephants, buffalos, antelopes, zebras, lions, and leopards. You'll head to Karatu Tented Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: From Tarangire to Arusha

You will eat an early breakfast at your lodge. You will do one last game drive in Tarangire National Park to witness enormous groups of elephants. After enjoying your picnic lunch in the park, you will travel to Arusha for an optional city tour if time permits. Your guide will take you to the airport for your planned trip to Zanzibar.
