Full Travel Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport
After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park through Uganda's tiny communities. Make a stop at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe to take photos and listen to fascinating discussions and experiments. Enjoy a game drive on your way to your lodge or hotel for check-in and lunch. After lunch, you'll board a boat on the lake in search of hippos, crocodiles, and water fowl, among other things.
Meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and supper.
Lodge: Lake Mburo Safari Lodge or Rwakobo Rock
Driving time: 5-6 hours.

DAY 2: Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, take an en route wildlife drive through Lake Mburo National Park before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in south-western Uganda. This route takes you through Uganda's beautiful rolling hills, past banana and tea plantations that provide stunning scenery. Lunch will be supplied the trip, and you will arrive at Bwindi in the evening.

Driving time: 6-7 hours.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking Day
After an early morning meal and packed lunch, you will head to the Park Headquarters at 7:45 a.m. for registration and then join other trackers for a briefing on the Dos and Don'ts of your Gorilla Tracking safari. Your guides will lead you through the dense creepers and vegetation in your quest to find the gorillas. This walk can take anywhere from 30 minutes to three quarters of a day. The densely forested area is crisscrossed by numerous animal pathways that provide access to tourists. The amount of time you spend on the walk is largely determined by the gorillas' movements. But it is a wonderful experience to be among these lovely, but endangered creatures.

DAY 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning, you'll leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park. So, expect for some breathtaking sights along the way. You will arrive in time for lunch at the resort, followed by an afternoon game drive over the Kasenyi plains in search of Savannah wildlife such as buffalo herds, antelopes, elephants, and, if you are lucky, lions and leopards.

Lodge: Elephant Hab Lodge and Pumba Safari Lodge.
Driving time: 4-5 hours.

DAY 5: Morning Game, afternoon boat ride in the Kazinga Channel
This morning, you will return to the Kasenyi plains for a morning wildlife drive to see what you may have missed the day before. Lunch will be served in the lodge. Following lunch, you will proceed to the jetty along the Kazinga Channel for the afternoon boat excursion. This trip provides excellent opportunities to see wildlife such as hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and water birds that flop into the channel to drink water.

Lodge: Elephant Hab Lodge or Pumba Safari Lodge.

DAY 6: A morning game drive and travel to Kibale National Park
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Northern bank of Queen Elizabeth National Park (Kasenyi) in search of wild animals such as elephants, buffalo, and wild cats, as well as other species of antelopes such as water buck, Uganda kobs, and Savannah birds. After lunch, you will drive to Kibale National Park and check into your lodge in the evening.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included.
Chimpanzee Forest Guesthouse/Isunga Lodge
The drive takes about 3-4 hours.
After breakfast, you will be taken to Kibale National Park Headquarters in Kanyanchu. You will meet with other trekkers for a briefing before heading into the jungle for monkey trekking. A skilled and experienced ranger/guide will lead you on a guided primate walk through Kibale Forest National Park. This woodland allows you to visit one of the habituated chimpanzee tribes. You can spend an hour with these Great Apes and observe their behavior. You are authorized to snap photographs. Make sure your cameras are close. Kibale National Park is also home to 13 other primate species that can be seen while hiking with the chimps. Of course, there are. There are several species of forest birds. In fact, this is another sanctuary for bird enthusiasts. After lunch, you will proceed to Bigodi Wetland for a wetland walk where you can witness primates and several bird species. This stroll will help you understand the importance of the locals near Bigodi in preserving the wetland. You can help them by donating in kind. Please keep in mind that this is an entirely voluntary action.
