Today, after breakfast at your hotel, begin your day with a historical exploration of Kigali city, including visits to official landmarks and sites from colonial, post-independence, genocide, and post-genocide periods to learn the most fascinating and astonishing historical facts about Rwanda. You will be able to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, where over 250,000 genocide victims were buried in mass graves; visit the Belgian camp, where they killed the ten Belgian UN soldiers who were protecting the moderate prime minister prior to the start of the genocide; explore old and new Kigali; and return to your hotel for dinner and overnight. After breakfast, you will go to Muhanga to join the villagers on their hillside and participate in their daily life activities as artists. You will be able to learn how to weave native baskets, cook traditional meals, dip candles, and make bee hives.  Enjoy a day packed with interactions, fun, dining, and unforgettable experiences. After that, we will go to Butare and visit the Royal monarchs Palace in Nyanza on the way, where you will learn about Rwandan monarchs' past leadership, traditions, and cultures, before continuing to Nyungwe National Park, where you will stay overnight. Today, after your early morning African coffee, you will leave your hotel to explore Nyungwe's natural forest, which is home to 13 species of primates, and be transferred to the park for a briefing and chimp trekking. You will have one hour to find the chimpanzees. After the chimp trek, head for lunch before visiting the Gisakura tea plantation, where you will have a crop-to-cup tea experience. You will visit the tea fields and interact with the farmers on how tea is grown and harvested, and you can also participate in the harvesting process. You will then visit the processing factory to see the other final stages until your tea is served in a cup. Later, go to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. After a relaxing breakfast, you will return to the forest to hike the Nyungwe canopy walk. This hanging bridge will reward you with an incredible perspective of this impenetrable natural forest. You will drive to Kibuye amid the breathtaking scenery of the thousand hills on the beaches of Lake Kivu. Upon arrival at your hotel, you will enjoy a quiet lunch while waiting for the afternoon boat on Lake Kivu to tour various islands inside the lake, culminating in a night fishing excursion. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Rubavu, with a stop at the Kinunu Coffee Plantation to watch the process from seed to cup of coffee. After breakfast, you will visit the park for gorilla trekking or golden monkey trekking volcanoes, and then travel to have a canoe trip in the twin lakes of Burela and Ruhondo before returning to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
